A visit to my local farm shop Cherry Gardens Farm demonstrates that there's still colour, texture and sunshine in between the downpours. The produce is always so well displayed in the little shop and I thought the pumpkins (£1 - £5, depending on size) were particularly eye catching. Cherry Gardens is an organic farm where Kate, Jonathan and the team work incredibly hard to grow the finest fruit, vegetables and cut flowers. They've built up their client base well over the years and there's usually a big box of cut price vegetables on the floor which are just about to pass their best, greatly reduced in price and perfect for making soup. The shop is currently full to the hilt of produce, see the calendar of produce for October, which of course will lessen as we approach the winter months.
